If you're in the real estate business... then you must know that having a website is a must!

These days you can't just have a website.  You NEED to have a site that has utilized real estate related search engine optimization (SEO) techniques in order for it to be successful.

Over 80% of the real estate buyers are using the internet to find their next home.  More and more are using the internet to find a REALTORĀ® and real estate services.  These are the two main reasons why you should have a working website so that you (the real estate professional) can capture those targeted leads.  And in order for you to capture those leads, YOU MUST include your real estate website in your marketing budget.

Truthfully, this should be one of your main marketing pieces in your career, if not top priority!

What happens once you purchase a Real Estate Website?

Once you have purchased your Real Estate website, you need to think about how you are going to get the people who use the internet, to YOUR website.  Your choices are:

1. If you want traffic to your site quickly (not immediately), you can spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars a month on Pay Per Click Campaigns (PPC) and have a less of a chance to keep those visitors looking through your site and eventually contact you.

The reason this would happen is because people that are looking for a new home, especially if they are relocating or buying a second home, want to see what properties are available and information about the areas they are looking to move to.

2. Unless you have hours and hours of time on your hands, you will need to hire a Search Engine Marketing and Optimization Expert.  Someone that has a real estate background, has a vast amount of knowledge of search engines and their ever changing algorithms, skills in implementing an effective link popularity campaign and experience in marketing for realtors in general.

The reason that you need to hire someone that specializes in real estate SEO is because they will know what the latest techniques are specifically in the real estate website marketing field.  That person should also know what the visitors are looking for and how to get the proper information on the site while optimizing that information for the search engines.
